Our Vision
Over 50 years, Siouxland Civic Dance has been an integral piece of the Sioux City dance community.
Established by Shirley and Terry Dill, the mission of the organization was to provide high quality dance education and performance opportunities to dancers of the Sioux City area. In that time they presented nearly 50 productions with Ballet Sioux including: The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and many more. They have also sponsored companies and dancers from across the country to travel to the area to assist in upholding their mission.
Rebecca McNamara took over the company in 2019.
As the new artistic director, she hopes to continue the mission of Shirley and Terry and build a dance community throughout Siouxland. She hopes to unite dancers of all backgrounds in their love of ballet.
